Torrance CA had five scorers in the top 40 to place third in the 3-mile boys varsity large school race at the 34th Santa Clarita Valley Invitational at Castaic Lake, Calif. Gil Bothwell took 13th, Seiya Miyazaki was 21st, Eduardo Arredondo finished 26th, Anthony Gil placed 34th and Harry Bragg secured 39th for Torrance, which was edged for second place by Glendale CA by a 119-120 margin.
