Rosemead CA placed second in the 3-mile girls varsity small school race at the 34th Santa Clarita Valley Invitational at Castaic Lake, Calif. Rosemead had five scorers in the top 35, led by individual champion Melanie Mach. Miranda Lam and Cassandra Chin finished 12th and 13th, with Jeny Moreno taking 20th and Jessica Perez placing 35th for Rosemead, which took runner-up to Flintridge Prep CA by a 41-73 margin.
